Grandma Dropped the "F" Bomb

Hahahhaha, I love that title.  It just makes me smile.  It really makes me smile cuz it really is the truth.  Yep, dainty little Grandma Peg dropped the "F" bomb the other night.....right in front of Jake.  I wished I would have had a camera to capture Jake's reaction.  My immediate response was "jeez, ear-muffs."  Even better?  I think she was directing it towards my father (I cannot confirm nor deny that though)!!

Soooooo when Grandma Peg is not busy talking like a truck-driver she is busy baking one of her famous creations.  Check out this cute little bunny cake mom baked last Sunday!

Isn't it totally adorkable???  Also a bit torturous as mom and I are living the low-carb lifestyle so we were just fortunate enough to smell it and NOT taste it.

Annnnnddddd there it is frosted with some german chocolate frosting and some chocolate chips for the eyes, mouth, and nose.  Would it be awkward if I said I was licking my computer screen right now (come on I haven't had any carbs in 2 weeks!)?  Would it be even more awkward if I said it was my computer screen at work since I am blogging on my lunch hour?  No?  I didn't think so!

That is all I've got time for right now!  Still waiting on quite a few estimates to come back on house stuf and ya'll know how patient I am so it has been a looooooonnnnnnngggggggg wait!  Hoping to get some numbers back this weeked or sometime next week.

Ryan and I have a 9 am appointment at Chelsea Lumber tomorrow morning.  They are going to give us an estimate on all of our rough materials.  That will probably take them 2 weeks so we figured we better make the trip to Chelsea and get this show on the road!!

Shamrocks, Shenanigans....and Bricks????

Ryan went to the brick place for me this Friday and brought home some samples.  Check 'em out:

Little did we realize that there were a million different types of brick and Ryan didn't bring a single one home that was the color we wanted.  Eh, you'll have that!  We found a house in the big town of Pburg that has the brick we want so Ryan is going to have to suck it up and call the homeowner's to ask where they go their brick!

Sooooooo, onto the Shenanigans!  The kids chilled out at home on Saturday night with Grandma Peg and Grandpa Tom.  Needless to say Ryan and I hit the town and stayed out WAY too late, then we lost an hour with the time change and had to get up at 6 am for my race.  Ryan took lots of pictures of me and laughed every time cuz he said my bleeding eyes made me look like I was REALLY hungover.  I really did feel fine but I was soooooo tired.  Here are some action photos:

Does that say "Kiss Me I'm A Wolverine" or "Kick Me I'm Tired?"  Not sure which but I think by looking at me, it says the latter of the 2.

Here is me at the start line.  More of Ryan making fun of me:

Real cool honey making fun of my sleepy eyes!

Here we are with our breakfast of champions:

Yeah I was too lazy to edit the photo so rotate your head and you'll get the picture!

Finally, take a look at my mad self portrait skeellzzzz!

Yeah I really think that whole self-portrait talent was left to the current generation.  Ya know...they like to take all those self-portraits in the bathroom mirror.  Maybe I need to have Kelsey give me some lessons ;)

The coupon queen is back!

Yeah-yuuhhhh!!  That is all I have to say.  Now that we are finally really settled in at mom and dad's I am back to my sweet couponing!  Took a little trip to Kmart today and found out that they are now doubling coupons up to $1.00!  Woohhhhoooo, that is my kinda deal :)  Here is what I got today.

Oh yeah, it feels good to be back!  I am really bushed tonight so that is all that I've got!

However here is Kels and I after dinner!  Awwwwwwwww :)

Blueprints and cabinets!

We got our blueprints back and now we can get this show on the road.  Now it's time to get some hard numbers.  I am a little nervous to see how the numbers come back but ya never know 'til ya try, right?

Here they are:

That is the foundation print...nothing too exciting there.  Well nothing that I can understand anyhow ;)

Annnndddd this is the rear elevation!

Here is the main floor plan!  Can you see those 2 walk in closets??

Last but not least here is the front and side view!  You may need to click on the pictures to get a better look!

Now onto cabinets.  I found an ad on Craigslist with some super cheap cabinets.  I sent the number to Ryan and asked him to find out the scoop.  Well he got the directions and went to check out the goods  He said that the warehouse resembled a bad scene in a horror movie.  As sketchy as the place looked, it was worth it.  Ryan got the cabinets for our new laundry room for 100 bucks!   I told him I didn't care what color they were because I wanted to have my FIL help me paint them white.  These are what he came home with....all plywood construction too!  I freaking love them!

We are hoping to get some numbers back this week.  Soooooo fingers crossed I don't have the big one when I see the estimates ;)

Uhhmm where is the treat drawer??

So the other night when Jake and Emma were hanging out here along with Alex and Taylor, they got a little frreaked out!  All four of those little knuckleheads went looking for the treat drawer and this is what they found....

What kind of a cruel joke is this Grandpa???  This is just wrong!!

Oh wait, here it is....

Oh wait Grandpa Tom just moved it cuz apparently is has been used too much lately and the tracks were getting worn out.  Soooo he had to take it out to fix it and the kids were NOT happy!!

Once they found it, all was well.  OMG I have some screamin' deals to share that we found lately :)  See ya'll tomorrow!!!
