Sunroom Progress Pics!

Well here they are!!  I'm not completely finished but couldn't wait to show you.  I don't really think that these pictures do the room justice but I can't stop looking at it.....and making anybody that comes over look at it!!  #sorrynotsorry  LOVE IT!!!
Be prepared for a very large photo dump.  I'm not going to bore you with my babbling just the sunshiney goodness of the sunroom.

I got the two orange chairs from World Market and it was the best find I've gotten in a while.  My mom and I stumbled onto this coffee table and it was about 67% off at Home Goods (yup it was my early birthday present) and we scooped it up Saturday morning.  And the pillows, oh the pillows, I got those at home goods about a month ago and LOVE THEM.  They were what finally inspired me to finish the sunroom.  So here you go.......

All I need at this point are curtains and an area rug!!  Those things will have to wait a bit but ya never know.....I just might find more screaming deals before you know it :-)

Well what do you think????

I can't wait to show you the sunroom!!!

It's no secret that my sunroom has been the one room that has been fighting me all along.  I've gone through several different throw pillows and side table colors.  However I have FINALLY made progress in the sunroom......and  I can't wait to share it with you.

Buuuttttt, you're going to have to wait until tonight to see the pics.  So, in the meantime let's look back at a few of the before pictures!

Here is a view of the sunroom from the kitchen.

Side tables painted blue.

Side tables now painted black!

It was just so blah and I couldn't find an identity for the sunroom.  Then somehow it all came to me with some throw pillows from Home Goods :-)  The rest just kind of fell into place.  So, come back and I'll show you!!!

Back to couponing....kind of!!

I was a crazy couponer for a long time!!!  Then I slacked, got back into it, then slacked again.
Anndddd now I'm back into it.

Couponing takes quite a bit of time but can really pay off in the end.  HOWEVER, one thing I was guilty of was buying things that I wouldn't usually buy just because I had a coupon.

Soooooo, I've revised my plan of attack.  Instead of using my $10-$20 weekly coupon budget to buy those things that I wouldn't necessarily use (because I have a coupon) I'm instead stocking up on those things that we ALWAYS use.  So each week I'm finding the best coupon deals and/or sales on the things we frequently use and stocking up on them.

Fast forward to this week.  We definitely paid more than $20 to stock up this week but we really got a good start on building our stock back up.

This week toilet paper and paper towels were super cheap at Kroger.  As were cereal, Betty Crocker potatoes, whole wheat pasta and toothpaste.  So we took advantage!

We got 10 ($1.00 each) boxes of scalloped potatoes and 10 ($1.00 each) boxes of au gratin potatoes for $10.00.  Kroger had an eCoupon for $2.00 off four boxes and you could use the coupon up to five times....and we did!  So it was $20.00 for 20 boxes and we saved $10.00 with our five eCoupons.

The cereal was on sale two for $7.00 and then Kroger had an eCoupon for $3.00 off two boxes of General Mills.  We got three boxes of Multi Grain Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, and two boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.  We paid a total of $16.00 for all 8 boxes.  One thing to note was that these were the family size boxes so they were HUGE.  Stocking up on breakfast items is perfect moving into the school year.

Those Brawny paper towels were two packages for $10.00 (originally about $10.59 EACH when not on sale) and we had to $.75 coupons so we got them for $8.50.

Yup those sparkle paper towels were also two for $10.00 annddddd the angel soft toilet paper packages of 16 double rolls were also two for $10.00 and we got four of those.

The Kroger brand of whole wheat spaghetti was on close out for $.97 so I bought six of those and our favorite Colgate toothpaste was on sale for $1.00 so I got six.

So we clearly spent more than $20 per week but we really picked up these items over the last two weeks and didn't break the bank.  Now that we've got a new base we are going to continue to go with our $10-$20 budget each week and stock from there.

Does anybody else do this?  Any other crazy couponers out there?

P.S.  It is also possible that I still have about 16 bottles of laundry soap that I stocked up on last time it was SUPER on sale and had high value coupons :P

THESE are what I got today!!

Sooooo I'm a little late but I had to put together one of these little gems and secondly I went to hang out with my brother and snuggle in bed with my sister-in-law <3

So, as I said, I finally picked the colors for my sunroom and came up with a plan.  The chairs I really wanted for the sunroom were $350 each and not in my budget right now.  THEN I found these online and took a field trip at lunch!!!!

I freaking LOVE THEM and I especially loved the price.  I only got one put together at this point but wanted to share my deal I got at World Market.  I signed up for their member rewards card and got an even cheaper price on these chairs.  They are perfect and I can't wait to share more pictures with you!!  The pillows on the couch are new and are fabulous.  I'll share more detailed pictures once I get the other chair put together and some detail photos of the pillows!!

Well what do you think?

It's possible I got a screamin' deal at lunch today!!!

Who wants to guess what it is????  So it may or may not have something to do with my sunroom.  I'm pretty excited to share some pictures with you, but you'll have to wait until I get it/them home tonight and put together!!

Ohhhhhhh man, my husband is going to be thrilled when he wakes up to something that says "some assembly required".  Bwwhhahahahaa!!!!

So, stay tuned and I'll show you tonight.  I was trying to find a picture of the sunroom to share and this was the first one I found.

Hard to believe this was the sunroom not too long ago!!  However my pictures tonight will have a little bit more decor!!

Finished glasses and garage sale score!!

Yep I finally finished my glasses and just in time for a little girls get together on a Saturday.  They were so easy and so cheap.  I love the way they turned out and am thinking about future projects with other glasses from the Dollar Tree.

Here are some pictures of my bar a couple weekends ago for our little flamingo party!!

Don't you LOVE those bottles of sparkling lemonade and pink lemonade?  I found them at Home Goods for $3.99 and ended up buying them from Aldi for $2.49 each.  SCORE!!!

Seriously, how cute are those flamingo napkins?  I found them on the interweb and had to have them!!  I mixed in some pink polka dot napkins from the Dollar General and we were in business.

Here is a full shot of our pink flamingo bar.  WAY, WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!!!

So, onto the finished glasses.  I know you can't see them very well here so I'll share an up close an personal shot.  As you'll be able to see I decided to go half and half.  Partially because I liked the mix and partially because it was easier to do the solid glasses than the polka dot glasses and I was short on ambition time!

Love the finished product!!  You know what else I love?  Those gold mini heels on the right.  They were my great grandmas and I've always loved them since I can remember.  I can hardly remember last week but always remember adoring those mini heels.  My mom had them in her curio cabinet and was kind enough to let me keep them forever borrow them.

Now onto my garage sale scores.  Boo boo kitty and I went to Menard's a couple Sundays ago to buy light bulbs.  Yeah I know, we're pretty exciting.  We tried our hardest to find something else that we "needed" but came up short.  So we decided to hit some garage sales on the way home.
We did only find one and luckily enough I was the one to find something.  I found this little blue gem and knew I had to have it.  Not to mention I got it for a buck :-)

I finally found some throw pillows and decided on my colors in my sunroom....orange and cobalt/midnight/navy blue (whatever you want to call it).  I've been struggling to find my sunroom's identity for quite some time but I'll share that another day!  #firstworldproblems

Annndddd finally here are some Christmas glasses for our bar that I got for $2.00 just down the road at another garage sale.  I know, I know who wants to think about Christmas, but I just couldn't pass them up.  I just love the gold ring around the top and think they'll be perfect with my Christmas bar.

So there ya have it!!  Do any of you have little trinkets that you loved as a kid?  Any good garage finds you want to share?  Add some pics for the rest of us to admire!
