Work in progress!!

Ok, so we did decide to paint.  We DECIDED to paint just haven't done it yet!!!  My mamacita came over Saturday morning and we decided to rearrange the living room first (before I went to get paint).  While rearranging the living room we realized what we really needed in the living room was MORE LIGHT!!!  My poor lamps are a hot mess but I refuse to buy new lamps....that is until I am buying new lamps for my NEW HOUSE!!  What's that you ask?  Yes we will eventually have a new house...I just may be 60 :P  Anywho back to my lamps.  Aunt BJ and I hit the road to pick up some paint and my mom and dad went home to find me some lamps and end tables (for some reason my mommy wasn't loving my TV trays as end tables).
My mom and dad have these lamps that were my great grandma's and we all thought they were very cool but just weren't the right colors.  So I not only picked up paint for my cabinets but got paint for the lamps.  Are you ready to see them???  Here they are!!

They were cream colored and had a couple gold stripes and the flower was pink and the leaves were green.  Soooooo we decided to paint them a bright white.  I really LOVE the way they turned out.  However I think they might need a couple new lamp shades.  Here is an up close picture of the flower....

  Not sure what it is but I think they are pretty sweet!!  I will take some pictures of the new living room arrangement when my little monsters aren't running around like wild indians!! 

In the meantime my new and improved kitchen is going to remain a work in progress!!

To paint or not to paint....

that is the question!!  So, grandma Peg had a couple pretty good ideas for this weekend.  We are going to try and rearrange the living room to make it look a little bigger AND repaint the kitchen cabinets!

 

Sooooo, here are the cabinets as they are currently!!  Any input on what color we should use??  Let me be honest, painting is one of my favorite things in this world....NOT!!!  Hahahhahaaaa I absolutely hate painting but I think my mumsy is onto something.  We need to spruce the joint up....get a little feng shui goin' on up in here.  Did I mention that I hate painting???  I have been going back and forth on whether or not I really want to re-paint or not.  Let me tell you though, I think I saw 350 Sherwin Williams commercials today telling me that their paint and stains are all 40% off this weekend.  Hey maybe I can score an online coupon....sorry I digress!!

It would probably be a good weekend to do it and get it done.  Ryan is super trucking for his uncle this weekend so this will keep be out of trouble while he is trucking.

Any thoughts on a good cabinet color???  Post your ideas in the comments.  Oh and include any links to some inspiration rooms!!

This could just be the change we need.  *Fingers Crossed*

1/3 of a year!!

What is 1/3 of a year you ask???  Well that is how long it has been since we showed our house (and that last clown that wanted to lease the house does NOT count) :O 
OOOOO EMMMMMMM GEEEEEEEE!!  Can you believe that???  Holy cow, 4 months is a REALLY long time.  I am usually the glass half full sort of girl but that glass is starting to look slightly half empty.  I just keep telling myself to stay positive.  To be honest....I have actually just stopped even thinking about it or caring for that matter.  I know that sounds REALLY bad but my thinking is, maybe it will happen if I quit thinking about it.  So, we'll see how this rocket scientist plan works out for me :)

 

 Maybe I should start hounding the news channels to do a story on my blog and maybe that will draw some interest.  Orrrrrrrrr every single one of you that reads this, needs to share the link to my house with all of your friends on FB!!!  Hey I never said I was below asking for YOUR help.  I've said it before...I NEED YOU!!!!

Ok while I was looking through my previous pictures on the blog I came across this:

It has been so long I forgot about this chair.  Ugghhhhh I love this and REALLY want to put it in my new house.  So let's get this baby sold!!

I cannot wait to hang this picture in the new homestead as well.  As a matter of fact I needed a place to put this so I took it to mom and dad's and mom has it hanging in the living room.  I just have to say that it looks really good too in her living room.  I worry that if I don't have a new place for it, it could end up a permanent fixture at Grandma Peg and Grandpa Tom's ;)

I know I can hear them chirping!!!  That is the sound of....NOTHING.  Yep pretty much absolutely nothing!

Yeah so I really don't have anything to update you on on the home selling front!!

Yep, we reduced the price yet again and absolutely ZERO action since then.  Hmmmmmmm, don't know!!  I have been watching the sales in the big town of Pburg and it looks like things have been REALLY slow everywhere! 

Not only did we reduce the price but Doug took some new pictures, so maybe that will help.  What do you think??  Well if the price reduction doesn't work, I might be back to that whole billboard idea :P
